Hi! I'm Gabe Root, an actor based in Salt Lake City. I started acting onstage as a teenager as a way of finding community and fell in love with the work itself. Since starting my time in University, I've had the opportunity to pivot towards acting for the camera. I've had the opportunity to work in supporting roles in multiple feature films, one of which brought me to SXSW Film Festival this March, where I got to learn more about the people that work in film. I also had the opportunity to lead a six-episode historical miniseries this summer, which taught me how to be consistently diligent and effective within a fast-paced filmmaking workflow. I love acting because of the connection it builds between people through shared experience and I can't wait to enter a larger market to explore the breadth of experience that the industry can offer.
